Big race debut 8/04/2000

We're on our way

Friday August 4th 2000
The weather was threatening our first big race.
It  turned out great.
Actually it was a beautiful Florida nite.
The thermometer read  in the low 80's.
We enjoyed cool coastal breezes.

Orlando Speedway is way out on East Hwy 50.
That's east if you're in Orlando.
If you're west of the track you know where it is.
We race on the oval track.
Pay attention and follow the sign to oval.

A few last minute details are needed.
From what I understand the track officials
found something not quite meeting with their liking.
Well you don't know, what you don't know.
They let us race anyway, however they will be watching us.
Wonder why?

Up and out of the pits.
Here we go, dude.

It was a short race, only 10 laps.
Our car started at the end of the pack.

Coming around the bend.
Pulling into 2nd.

Here's our winner of the racing pool.
This dudette took home the big bucks.
She also took home the driver.

Hey man, not bad for our first race.
Third place.
